December 12-16

Christmas time is one of my most favorite times of the year!!! In Reading and Language arts we will be studying the story The Polar Express! We will be doing many actives with this story all week! On Thursday we will be watching the Movie in class to compare the book to the Movie. So in true Polar Express style the students are encouraged to come to school in their Pajamas and they can bring a pillow and/ or a blanket for the viewing of the movie!Please keep in mind that the students still need to wear normal school shoes (no house shoes) for safety in PE and recess.

 On Friday we will have a busy and fun filled day! We will start the day off with a school wide sing-a-long, and our Holiday party party will be 12:00-1:00! Please refer to the school note sent home last week about visitors and party guild-lines.

During our party we will be decorating cone Christmas trees that the students may eat. Warning!! Sugar overload!! lol! I will be needing parent helpers during the party and well as supply's to pull this activity off.

  The supply's needed are as follows:
 * 6 containers of green frosting
 * 4 large bag of M&Ms
 * 4 large bags of Skittles
 * 6 packages of holiday sprinkles
 * Paper plates
 * 3 boxes of juice boxes
 * napkins
 *4 bags of chips
 * 24 cookies

 If you would like to bring additions treats you are welcome to do so as well. Please post in the comments below this post what you would like to contribute to our party. This helps us all see what is needed. I truly appreciate all your help in pulling this fun day off.
